Trash and Recycling Guidelines

Our community contracts with HBS Trash Services for collection.

Trash will be picked up weekly on Mondays. Recycling will be picked up every other week. Each home receives two 95-gallon carts, one for trash and one with ayellow lid for recycling.

On your collection day, please place your carts at the curb by 7:00 am with the handles facing the house to ensure pick up. Please also be sure to leave at least 2 ft of clearance between each cart and surrounding items such as mailboxes, extra bags etc. (you are allowed 3 extra Trash bags per weekly trash pick-up). Please make sure there is at least 4 ft of clearance between your totes and nearby vehicles. If you frequently have more than 3 extra bags of trash, you may rent an additional cart for $5/month.

Prohibited Items

The following hazardous household waste items should NOT be treated as everyday trash and should NOT be disposed of curbside, in your totes, bins or carts:

• Batteries

• Electronics

• Fluorescent light bulbs

• Paint and paint cans

• Used motor oil and filters

• Prescription medications

Visit a WM drop-off location to properly dispose of this items.

Holidays & Weekends

If a holiday falls on or prior to your collection day, service will be delayed by 1 day, i.e., the week of Memorial Day, you will receive pick up on Tuesday. Our observed holidays:

• New Year's Day

• Martin Luther King Day

• Memorial Day

• Independence Day

• Labor Day

• Thanksgiving Day

• Christmas Day
